“Darling, my leg hurts.”
After riding for two consecutive days, although his legs weren’t scraped, the creases and half of his backside were chafed red.
Shuai Chang quickly turned him over to check; the swollen area looked severe after being soaked in hot water, almost bursting.
“Don’t be afraid, Lan’er. I’ll apply the blood jade ointment, and you’ll be fine.”
Chunyu Lan obediently lay still, while Shuai Chang retrieved the ointment from his bag and gently applied it to the affected area.
Chunyu Lan endured the itching sensation, nearly going mad from Shuai Chang’s delicate fingers; he finally surrendered to his body’s intense shivering and lay on the bed, breathing heavily, unable to resist the sensation.
The fragrance of passion immediately filled the room, and Shuai Chang quickly held his breath, hastily tucked the bed curtains back. “Lan’er, you sleep; I’ll go into the next room.” There was a soft couch in the partitioned space, which, while a bit short, would suffice for the afternoon.
As Shuai Chang lay on the soft couch, he closed his eyes, and all he could see was the image of Chunyu Lan—both alluring and innocent, pulling him into a trance.
With a helpless sigh, Shuai Chang opened his eyes and began to recite the calming mantra, trying to expel the distracting thoughts from his mind.
He didn’t wake up until evening. After changing his clothes, he went to check on Chunyu Lan in their bedroom. The sweet scent was nearly gone. As he pulled back the curtains, he saw Chunyu Lan’s little face sleeping, rosy and delicate. He checked the red, swollen areas on his legs, which looked significantly better than earlier. He estimated that walking wouldn’t hurt anymore.
“Lan’er.” Shuai Chang called him softly.
Chunyu Lan moved, turning over and slowly opening his eyes, his black pupils misty and sleepy.
“Darling.” He snuggled his face into Shuai Chang’s palm like a little kitten waking up.
“It’s time to get up. I’ll help you change; which outfit do you want to wear?”
Chunyu Lan tilted his head in thought. “The one with silver embroidery and cloud patterns.” He looked best in silver, and since he was going to meet his husband’s first friend, he wanted to be the most eye-catching one, so he wouldn’t embarrass Shuai Chang.
He wasn’t jealous at all.
Unaware of Chunyu Lan’s little calculations, Shuai Chang helped him into the silver robe. Chunyu Lan suddenly produced a folding fan from somewhere and stood before Shuai Chang with a bright smile.
Shuai Chang was nearly stunned, exclaiming, “Lan’er’s beauty is unparalleled; how could I, Qingya, be worthy of marrying you?”
Chunyu Lan snapped open his fan with a flourish, proudly raising his chin, and declared, “Lan’er loves you dearly; naturally, you can marry me. Let’s go, husband.” He wanted Bo Xichun to see that he and Shuai Chang were a match made in heaven.
Author’s note: I am indeed an aggressive type; I really like the submissive role.
Chapter 56: The Sect Leader is a Hypocrite 6
The two left the courtyard. Outside the hanging flower gate stood two graceful young girls, about fifteen or sixteen years old, draped in red silk. Upon seeing them, they immediately bowed gracefully. “Greetings, two young masters.”
“I am Xingyun.”
“I am Xingyu.”
Xingyun was a well-endowed girl with a charming smile. Sweetly, she said, “Please follow me, Mr. Fu and Mr. Chunyu.” She reached out to support Shuai Chang’s arm.
Xingyu also moved to support Chunyu Lan’s arm.
Chunyu Lan startled and dodged, seeing Shuai Chang touched by Xingyun, he angrily shouted, “Let go of my husband!”
Xingyun fell to the ground with a soft cry, raising her lovely face, already teary. “Mr. Fu…”
Shuai Chang stood still, chuckling, “Ladies, please just lead the way. My wife is quite jealous and skilled in martial arts; if you provoke him, I can’t guarantee your safety.”
Xingyun and Xingyu turned pale at his words, and dared not make any further moves.
Xingyu helped Xingyun up, and the two quietly led the way ahead.
“Brother Fu, where precisely did she touch you just now?” Chunyu Lan glared at Shuai Chang’s sleeve, the anger in his eyes nearly burning a hole through it.
Shuai Chang bent down and whispered in his ear, “Her hand didn’t even touch me before you pulled her away. Don’t worry, my body only carries Lan’er’s fragrance. Lan’er is the most beautiful person in the martial world; why bother arguing with these common girls?”
The warm breath brushed against Chunyu Lan’s sensitive earlobe, and he swallowed hard, his delicate Adam’s apple bobbing. “Ahem, since you interceded for them, I will let this slide this time.”
If anyone tries to snatch my husband again, I will not let them off that easily! Unbeknownst to Shuai Chang, a cold glint flashed in Chunyu Lan’s eyes.
Passing through the winding corridor, they arrived at a spacious courtyard. Xingyun and Xingyu respectfully lifted the bamboo curtain to invite them inside. As soon as they entered the room, their eyes suddenly brightened.
“Ha ha ha, Qingya, you’re finally here; I’ve been waiting for you!” A man approached with a smile, looking only at Shuai Chang, and exclaimed, “Qingya, your demeanor is as charming as ever.”
Chunyu Lan tightened his grip on the folding fan, nearly crushing the handle. Standing here, he was so eye-catching, yet Bo Xichun dared to ignore him!
“Xichun, you haven’t changed a bit.” Besides a hint of masculine stubble on his chin and deeper-set eyes, everything else was just as he remembered.
Bo Xichun, dressed in a loose royal blue robe with long hair cascading down his back, had a tender pink cross-shaped scar on his right cheek, his profile sharp, and a mischievous smirk often gracing his lips.
Perhaps Chunyu Lan’s gaze was too piercing; Bo Xichun finally moved his attention from Shuai Chang, smiling before even turning his head, “Is this your wife…?!”
Upon seeing Chunyu Lan, Bo Xichun was left dumbfounded!
His right hand trembled as he pointed. “Y-you…”
Chunyu Lan coldly snorted, raising his chin, “What about me?” How uncultured of Bo Xichun, he was still the leader of the Qing Gang yet behaved like this upon seeing the most beautiful person in the martial world.
“Husband, let’s sit down quickly; I’m hungry.” Chunyu Lan pulled Shuai Chang’s hand to the round table.
Bo Xichun appeared genuinely surprised; he was stunned for quite a while.
There were only the three of them in the room, where more than ten thick candles illuminated the space brightly. Chunyu Lan raised his brow, feeling that Bo Xichun had no discernment. There’s no way Shuai Chang would like him, and he directly began to eat.
About a quarter of an hour later, after the two men had almost finished eating, Bo Xichun sat down opposite them with a complicated expression.
